Medieval Life learning session
What can we find out about medieval life from the documents at The London Archives?
In this session, students will investigate a variety of original documents from 1066-1509 to find out what they reveal about life in the Medieval period.
Students will consider questions around the state and civil rights through examinations of sections from the Magna Carta and the City of London Letter Books, before breaking off into groups to work with documents concerning religion, occupations, health, the economy, crime and punishment, in a range of supported activities designed to build curiosity and confidence in working with original material from this period.
