The London Archives Catalogue

Search the catalogue

Our Catalogue allows you to search over three million descriptions of the books, maps, images and films which we preserve and share.

Our catalogue is our index to the historical records we preserve and share at The London Archives. If you want to explore any aspect of London's history, from the eleventh century to the present day, it's an essential research resource.

It contains over three million descriptions of the films, maps, photos, books and other historical records in our collections and also provides access to digital copies of some our most popular and interesting documents. Not every collection is fully catalogued and available for searching, but new records are being added all the time and the database is expanding daily.

As the gateway to the records, the catalogue is a vital tool if you're planning to visit us to research original documents. Once you've registered for our History Card, you will be able to use the catalogue to request the records you'd like to see during your visit in advance.

Our catalogue is available through a separate, dedicated website.
