Literary Event
'Tall and sharp at fifty-two, Campbell Flynn was a tinderbox in a Savile Row suit, a man who believed his childhood was so far behind him that all its threats had vanished.'

O’Hagan’s 2024 novel is a state of the nation work in the Dickens’ mould, which explores the nooks and crannies of modern London society to satirise the hypocrisies that lie within. Our protagonist is Campbell Flynn, a celebrity art historian who falls from grace, and a wider cast of characters interconnected by the “Cally Road” and the area to the north-east of Kings Cross.
