Eating and Drinking
Our Visitor Lounge on the mezzanine floor at The London Archives is the perfect place to take a break or eat a packed lunch.
You can buy and enjoy a coffee and a water dispenser is also freely available. Lockers where you can store any food or drink you have brought with you are also available and free to use. There are plenty of seats and space to relax while you take a break from your research or enjoy some time out.
To help us to preserve our important collections, food is only permitted inside our Visitor Lounge.
Drinks are not permitted in our Archive Study Area, or any other area where original documents are in use, but you can take a bottle of water (or cup with a secured lid) into the Information Area.
The London Archives does not have a café but there are many cafés and restaurants nearby offering a wealth of options. Our guide to enjoying our local area highlights neighbouring facilities and attractions.
